Welcome to the realm of the best live-band in the world! Kaizers Orchestra are six hot young Norwegians, who have set out to conquer the continent with mind-blowing rock, oil barrels, crowbars and 1001 wonderfull tunes. Get closer to salvation by Kaizer-music! Note: some parts of the English section are in German.
Dear community, beloved Kaizerfans, "Violeta II" is also available outside of Norway since last Friday and we are very very happy about the fact, that our favourite band is getting bigger and bigger every day. The Sky is the limit!!
However we have to announce that Save me Kaizer does not exist anymore. This is not due to lack of love (which is still endless) but due to lack of time. We see that we can't pay tribute to this band the way they deserve it. But as you all know, kaizers.konzertjunkie.com/ has always been a source for the hottest news around Kaizers!
We will still see each other on shows, that's for sure. So, we say farewell with a loud "Save me Kaizer"!!!
Today is a real Kaizer-day: The second part of the Violeta-trilogy and the live DVD of the show in Spektrum/Oslo are released - in Norway only though. The rest of us has to wait until January 13th. What's more, today is also the premiere of the play "Sonny" in Stavanger. The play was written by Kaizers Orchestra und the Norwegian author Tore Renberg.
While we are waiting we could as well immerse ourselves in the obscure lyrics of Violeta II, to which we can already offer you the translations, including the explanations of the story! This was again a cooperation of Susi S. and Save Me Kaizer.
Listen to the song "Drøm videre Violeta" and dream on ...
Yet again a bunch of Kaizerfans were made happy. This time in the Dutch city of Zwolle, where the Gentlemen played a short but sweaty show, after which Janove celebrated his birthday together with the band. Two new (and friggin genious) songs "Faen i Båten" (Devil in the boat) and "Støv og Sand" (Dust and sand) from the Violeta II-album were played. Besides, the Jackal performed one whole song in the audience (see evidence below). It was so wonderful, we just can't wait til the next tour in the new year!!
Dear community, Kaizers successfully premiered their upcoming album "Violeta II" on the Øyafestival in Oslo on August 11th!! If you'd like to enjoy this breathtaking gig just go to p3.no or nrk.no to watch the whole show. Whoooohooooooo!! We just say: Hail to cowbells, banjos and rock'n'Roll!! And of course Susi S. has written a report on the show as well.
The whole summer Kaizers have been jetting from festival to festival -- once they actually had to rent a private plane to catch their slot on the Roskilde festival. That's truely imperial! If you are not into festivals and would rather want to enjoy the Gentlemen in an intimate setting you should go to their gig at Club Hedon in Zwolle (NL) on August 26th in and on the Westerpop Festival in Delft (NL) the day after. See you there!
There we go again, Kaizers Orchestra's latest single "Tusend dråper regn" is out now. It's the first track from the second album of the Violeta-trilogy, which is going to be published on November 11th this year! You will have the pleasure of listening to the whole album though if you visit the Øyafestivalen in August! See the full list of tour dates hier.
The Violeta-Tour part one is over and pix of the gig in Hamburg are on Flickr, this time also featuring Jarle Bernhoft, who delivered a great warm-up-show every night. In our eyes the show in Oslo was extraordinary: 10.000 fans cheering frantically and singing along, that was impressive! On the aftershow party (for which fans could buy tickets beforehand) the Gentlemen even did a little extra-singing: Mister Kaizer!!! Reports in Norwegian and some pictures may be viewed here, here and here and on Susi's twitter-feed. We also got some pictures from Berlin by photomic, and fabulous shots from Darmstadt by Michael Grein.
What's next: There will be festivals (mostly in Norway), headlined by our favourite orchestra, there will also be some German festivals (nothing official, but if you scroll down a bit ...). On the Øyafestivalen in Oslo Kaizers will be playing songs from Violeta Volume II on August 11th. The album will probably be released in Novembre. The next tour in Germany will be in the beginning of next year. Before that there will be the premiere of "Sonny" in the Rogaland Teater in Stavanger. The play is based on songs of Kaizers Orchestra and is all about the big questions - betrayal, war, friedndship, love and death!! *breathein - breatheout*
And last but not least: Save me Kaizer has now their own Youtube-Channel and will soon start presenting videos on and with Kaizers. We are very excited!! We beg to excuse any technical and aesthetical deficiencies, since we are no experts ...First video from Oslo is already online, we hope you enjoy it!!
Pictures from the gig in Schorndorf are now on Flickr. Kaizers will have to give aaaaaall there is now! After tonight's gig in Munich the last remaining stops of the Violeta-Kaizerification-tour will be Berlin, Hamburg, Copenhagen and Oslo. According to kaizers.no the show in Oslo will be recorded for a DVD production. 10.000 fans will be witnesses to the biggest Kaizers show until now supported by old well known friends of the band Geoff Berner, Micke From Sweden and Jarle Bernhoft.
Also, Kaizers have claimed that they are planning to present their songs in English soon. Some of the new titles have been given away as well: Bean From Hell (Bøn fra helvete), CIA (KGB), Dr. Livingstone (Dr. Mowinckel), Seven Buckets Of Tears Are Enough, Miss Marple (Sju bøtter tårer er nok, Beatrice), Apocalypse Mr Bean (Apokalypse meg), Your Boys Took A Hell Of A Beating (Knekker deg til sist) and The Name Is Bond (9mm). We congratulate the orchestra on this bold step and further suggest Daddy Loves You (Papa har lov) and I Need Beans For My Gang (Med en gong eg når bånn)... well, well, you guessed right, it was an April Fool's prank (aprilspøk)!! So we will go on looking forward to more translation and guess work :-))
Dear Inamoratas, on our Flickr-site there are now more pictures from the unholy Orchestra's gig in the city of Cologne. Also, don't miss out on the regularly updated reports of Susi S. on the tour, even though they will not help to soothe the pain of your longing ... If you understand Norwegian make sure to watch this interview with Janove and Øyvind. That's where Janove explains where his nickname "The Jackal" comes from (he used to have sunglasses that made him look like a terrorist from the 80's, who went by the name of "the Jackal" - see the astonishing resemblance on the picture on the left). He also tells about a nocturnal visit by a fan in his hotelroom (climbing up a wall without safety net? This must be love!). Btw: Janove has finally managed to log on to Facebook. We would like to congratulate him on this big step he's taken despite his dislike for internetty things and wish him a whole lot of new friends! :-))
Some words on the show in Amsterdam: A packed Paradiso was the perfect setting for an unheard-of triumph of Norwegian football versus Denmark. That was to be seen, of course as an omen for Norway's success during the next European championship: "We will beat the Dutch" (sung to 'for he's a jolly good fellow'). A musical highlight again, Save Me Kaizer had a ball!!! And here are your chances to rock with Kaizers:
News flash: Yesterday 800 members of a musical venue lost their hearts to a charismatic music band from Norway. It is yet uncertain if those hearts will be found again. It is certain however, that abovementioned band will do Germany a bit more this year! Do not go there! Heart fibrillation and massive sweating are merely the least of the side effects. Rumors about the band's visit to larger festivals are only speculation and their veryfication still has to be veryfied. Have a peek at our Gallery featuring said bands action pictures can be viewed from their appearance in Luxemburg's Esche sur Alzette.
Dear Kaizerean combatants, we have uploaded some pictures of the show in Gothenburg on our Flickr-site and hope that you'll enjoy them. We are still dumbstruck by that fantastic show (AGAIN!)!! On the other hand, what else can you possibly want when you get a setlist like this: A perfect mix of the old songs (Katastrofen, Djevelens Orkester, Señor Torpedo, Veterans Klage, 170, Resistansen, Delikatessen etc.) and the new songs, which rock big time live! The fans in Gothenburg even got "Die Polizei" as encore. Those who live outside Scandinavia should now go and grab that ticket, cause Kaizers have entered the continent! If you can't make it, you may want to console yourself with this video from Stavanger ... check the tourdates here:
but not without Save-Me-Kaizer watching! A nice concert review was sent in by Kristoffer Lunde (tusen takk!) and can be read at Tour reviews. It seems, we may be happily expectant (all included, even all the sexual allusions, of course...).
To decode Kaizerean lyrics it sometimes takes two cryptographers. So this time Save Me Kaizer and kaizers.konzertjunkie.de put their heads together. And here they are, the lovely lyrics!! Thanks to Susi for the English translations!!
Also, don't miss out on an admirable performance of Kaizers on Norwegian TV: Kaizers im Lydverket!
Beloved Kaizerfans! These days the new masterpiece of Kaizers - "Violeta I" - will be availabe in the shops. If you are still indecisive about buying it, check it out on wimp.no or on 3voor12. On the latter site you also can listen to the "Dutch" version of "En for orgelet en for meg" featuring the rapper Blaxtar.
On their own Vimeo-Portal the Genlemen are serving the fans little video-tidbits with "Organman" Omen performing some sexy dancing and other adorable moves. Hillarious, even when you don't understand Norwegian. After all, madness is an international phenomenon ...
A lot of frantic reviews on "Violeta I" have been published on the German speaking net: blog.freeqnet.de, motor.de, plattentests.de, soundbase-online.com and musicheadquarter.de.
And there is an interview with Janove on soundportal.at with original audio files of the Master in English.
We wish you a wonderful weekend and continue poring over the translations of the lyrics (these people are maaaaaad, we can tell you) ...
En For Orgelet En For Meg feat. Prinz Pi
More news today! You can now listen to the "German" version of the track "En for orgelet en for meg". Kaizers have been working together with the rapper Prinz Pi to make a version of the song for the German speaking world. The track can be purchased as mp3 in some countries, e.g. via amazon for 77 Cent. Der Beelzebub ruft, indeed, yeah!
Dear community, the winners of our competition for free Kaizershow-tickets have been informed and may look forward to salvation starting from now. Thanks for the overwhelming response! Those who didn't get a message, should think about buying the tickets nevertheless. After all, what else would be as good an investment as a Kaizer show?
On stormbringer.at and titel-magazin.de you will find first (German) reviews of the Violeta album. You are welcome to send us links to other reviews you have found.
Dear Kaizer-community, just in time for x-mas there is a little message from Janove and Øyvind. Sit back and enjoy! Meanwhile more and more tourdates have been announced. The Gentlemen have also announced that the upcoming tour will be bigger and nicer and better than anything you have seen. We trust in Kaizers and are looking forward to the tour! On http://bunch.tv/noise you may watch a nice recording of the Kaizerean duett in Berlin!
On November 16th, in the course of the showcase in Berlin, we did an interview with Janove and Øyvind which you might want to read here. There is another report on the showcase in Zurich on konzertjunkie.de. And now for a little bit of self promotion: Save Me Kaizer is now on facebook as well. If you like us you will get all the news and a little more here and there! Just go here, please ...
We are brimming with love, admiration and longing: Love for Kaizers, admiration for their charming ways, longing for the upcoming album and the tour. On November 16th in the Grüner Salon in Berlin Janove and Øyvind gave us a foretaste of what we may expect next year. Three songs were performed live – with the Jackal at the piano and Øyvind on the bass: „Psycho under min hatt“, „Femtakt filosofi“ and „Din kjole lukter bensin, mor“. The album versions of three songs were played to the audience as well: „Philemon Arthur & The Dung“, „Hjertekunser“ and „En for orgelet, en for meg“. The latter was commented by Janove thus: Since Kaizers actually are a rap-band (which was most obvious in this song … ahem), there was going to be a rap-version of it in each country with a rapper from the specific country (or something like that). However: We love and adore the new songs. They rock big time! But hear and see for yourself:
- Psycho under min hatt on youtube
- Din kjole lukter bensin, mor on youtube
- Femtakt filosofi on youtube

Wednesday, 17.11: Copenhagen/Ideal Bar
Thursday, 18.11: Vienna/Arena
Friday 19.11: Zurich/Plaza (only press)
If you don't make it, don't despare! According to rumours the date for the Amsterdam show next year is March 26th ...
Hjerteknuser from Kaizers Orchestra on Vimeo.
It has been more like Save FROM Kaizers in the last months, but now we are back!! And So are Kaizers!! Only yesterday the video of their new single "Hjerteknuser" was premiered, accompanied by yet another smart marketing move (we love Kaizers for their cool ideas!): Kaizers released the notes and lyrics to the tune and asked the fans to send in their own version of the song. Over 100 fans took part! After the winner of the competition was chosen, Kaizers' own version was released. You may want to listen to all the contestants here, including the winning version by "moi". Congratulations btw, we love your version!!
Another single of the "Violeta Violeta Volum I" album (coming out next year) has also been released: Philemon Arthur and the Dung is available on iTunes.
And now for what we are most interested in - when we can worship the Gentlemen live: Well, Kaizers will be on tour for several weeks before they give their last show in Oslo on April 9th. The tour will take them through Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium and more. We are impatiently awaiting the tourdates!
Gee, what's the matter with Kaizers?? First they say good-bye ("going to studio, fiddling about here and there, no shows, sorry, mæææ ...", then they come back and baffle us with their studiotour (yes, we still love you!), and then they announce that there is not going to be just ONE album next year but three: namely the Violetta triology!! (well, the third one is going to be released in 2012 ...). What's more, they will also celebrate their tenth anniversary in 2011 with an extended tour (and we were reassured that Germany is definitely on the list!). The tour will culminate in a show in the huge Spectrum hall in Oslo on April 9th. Read up on it on www.kaizers.no. Tickets for the Spectrum show are already on sale!!
The studiotour (10.-13.2. in Norway) with all four shows sold out was a big success!! We were in Bergen and Trondheim and absolutely thrilled: new songs, old songs and six good-humoured Kaizers (a sometimes manic Jackal ...) - we are desperately trying to ignore the Norwegian singer Morten Abel who was part of the show with his Christian edification lyrics ("Hands of God/Lord/Whatever") and spoiled some Kaizer songs by his wretched backup vocals ... view the setlists and some pictures on www.drmowinckel.com, and read some entertaining reviews on kaizers.konzertjunkie.de.
The Gentlemen have come up with some subversive activities again. How else to explain the fact that they upload self-made bootlegs on the net? Watch two of the new songs, that they played on the Eurosonic Festival in Groningen on youtube: Philemon Arthur & The Dung and Sju bøtter tårer er nok, Beatrice. What's more: Every Monday (until the tour in Norway starts) Kaizers will upload one new song. The reason: The songs would end up on youtube anyway, but often enough in a very poor quality. So the only way to provide the fans with a decent recording would be to create them themselves. And to stop the endless guesswork the lyrics are delivered at the same time on kaizers.no. Fantastic!!
The new year brings updates on our favourite band. Kaizers were invited as "special guest" to the Eurosonic Festival in Groningen (NL) where they plan to play a couple of their new songs as well. They have been working on the new material for some time now and according to an interview with the Norwegian paper VG the new album (probable release date: 2011) will have a new musical twist to it. Mister Zahl doesn't reveal more details in the interview, but he himself will be also entering new musical territories with his new solo album. "Monkey Do" will be out on February 1st under the band name of "Uncle Deadly". A new track is already on Myspace and you may become a fan on Facebook as well.
Kaizers will be live on stage on their "Studio Tour" in Norway. After that they will go to the studio to record some of the new material.
